Hey, them's purty good numbers!
:Apocolypse Now is a testosterone driven pile of drival.
: But sorry, you loose me on the English Patient. I thought old Ralph was a weiner.
Bite yer tongue, ye rascally wench! Almasy is my 2nd favorite character in the whole, wide world, right after Hawkeye. Well, actually, he's right after the Wizard of Oz, too, so I guess that makes him my THIRD favorite character. ;o)
:But love him I do in Strange Days (I know, I'm the only one in the world that likes that movie).
Nuh-UH! I like that movie very much, if only for the fact that I get to see Ralpie in black leather pants! Sheer joy to watch! Now, if I could just get rid of the totally skanky Juliette Lewis in her beer-tab dress, I'd be able to watch it more happily!
:If I want to be swept away by a period romance, I'll pick The Piano every time.
Oooooooh, LOOKY! Here's ANOTHER one we agree on. We aren't doing too badly, actually! I LOVE The Piano. It had mood, ambience, sexuality, suspense, surprises, fantastic acting, a shivery soundtrack, and interesting cinematography ALL going for it.
:Of course, there's another period piece I find quite watchable. I can't remember the name of it, but it has something to do with some gorgeous, dark maned man, running and running and running, and it seems he likes to run with this long rifle in his hands. If I remember the name, I'll post it.
Oh, yes...please DO! It sounds like one we could agree on 100%, especially if this long-haired man has steely blue eyes and long, lean legs clad in buckskin! That sounds like just my cuppa tea, Miss!
