: Gee, Rich, thanks for the 'Swamp Fox' tie in. I had no idea re: the movie or your township. I've always had a thing for the 'Fox' since I saw the Walt Disney movie eons ago (I'm showing my age, here). Frankly, I miss some of their historical stuff. Disney had another that I dearly loved: "The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh" starring 'Secret Agent Man' Patrick McGoohan. Loved it! Anyway, thanks!

Danalee: Weren't we in the third grade together? Must have been, as it sounds like we had the same childhood. Sunday nites at 6:00 when Uncle Walt would open up another small piece of the world to us. But the nature shows were always my favorite, with the no. 1 being a show they did titled "The Otters of Hunter Creek." I must have been around 11 when Uncle Walt gave us that one, but when I was in my early 20's, I backpacked into the real Hunter Creek with some friends from various parts of the country. The most amazing thing as I look back now, was that we all knew the show and all wanted to go just to confirm it was a real place. One from California, one from Michigan, and one from Tennessee, all hiking into the back country in Colorado to visit a place introduced to us by Uncle Walt. Sometimes I wonder about the true level of impact he had on American culture.
