I will reward your trust and faith in me by assuring you that I am at least in part a child of Scotland, as my mother is a member of the that fine and ancient clan Murray of Atholl.  Moreover, I never disdain a wee drop of the liquor of the gods, a fine Scotch whisky!!  For myself, I will be bringing along that Colonial drink we call shrub, which has been known to cause havoc amongst les savages.

: Whilst polishing up his basket hilt last evening, The MacLeod opined that he would have to bring a keg or so of his beloved Talisker (brewed about 15 miles south of Dunvegan)to the Gathering to share with his comrades-at-arms.  An evening with Talisker is sure to bring peace among nations, if not among Traders.  Either that or vacant-eyed stupor.  Ah well, I've learned that when one deals with a Scot one accepts flattery and endearments, but never unidentified liquid refreshment!
