: Hi Elaine. Good to hear from you. No, not too keen on the Hanoverians. The only good thing I can say about George III is that he was a devoted husband--married over 50 years to Charlotte. Charlotte took over the reigns in 1810 after 50 years of marriage because George went nuts. I'm surprised it wasn't Charlotte that lost it--she had 15 children during her lifetime. It was George III that vetoed the 1801 proposed measure to grant Catholics the same rights and privileges of the Church of England. So, no, I'm not too keen on he or the other George's. I did enjoy the movie 'The Madness of King George' with Nigel Hawthorne and Helen Mirren. Excellent... Take care, Elaine.

Hi Danalee!

Of course, Charlotte, NC was so named for George's wife. That makes this a 'Six Degrees to LOTM' ...

Thought you might enjoy this link. (Nice music ...)
And ... good to hear from you, too!

Elaine
