Dear Seamus,

It has been busy here at this place called Carlisle. The French have the savages in a ruff mood. We have been on duty, and alert for what seems like days and weeks. The good Captain ordered and extra ration of rum around for the lads though and maybe tomorrow we will set out for Ft. Morris. Cpl. Mac William, has been learning his trade as a Cpl. and the Sgt.s are all ways there to ask more and more.

GOD BLESS THE GOOD KING GEORGE that he was here and we were there in London, with the fine ladies and the food. Time to go back on duty and all.

Your Comrade and friend,
William

PS Please give my best to all of your party. Tell Timothy not
to fret, he still has his soul.
