Cousins Malcolm and Davey,

Three Tales and I travel quickly to reach you at Carlisle. Sign Talker will deliver this message. He has traded several articles on his travels to and from us, he now is carrying several cooking pots, three or four well honed powder horns, four muskets, well, you realize Sign Talker's penchance for trade and barter. We have suggested he make a small travois to carry all his goods.

But, we travel fast, at a trot, with few stops, to make our way to Fort Carlisle to travel with you and the 77th to Loudoun and thence to Frederick to aid our nephew Half Breed and the Patuxents. We traveled through Lancaster Town and heard some tales of the 77th when you were there. The populace is still forming as rabble in the taverns and speaking of your regiment and the deeds that were done. Most stories we find difficult to believe, but we also recognized the type of ruffians which inhabit this town.
We move quickly on to the town of York, soon crossing the Susquehanna. We will need to cross on the Ferry managed by a Mr. Wright. From York we travel to the Fort at Carlisle.
We rush on cousins and will be with you soon. Beware of Sign Talker's bartering!
Pax Aye,
Many Flags and Three Tales
