I can't tell you how disappointed I am you won't be at Gathering, Danalee. I was looking forward to chatting about old times on the board over croissants dipped in chocalate and rolled in nuts. Darn! About your aging thing...Judging from your photo on the MohicanLand Masses page, you have a LOOOOONG way to go before you have to start worrying about aging!
: Hi Dana! I won't be making The Gathering after all, my employer wants me at a conference in Florida that same week... Yeah, I've lived all over. In my youth (gee, 44 seems ancient sometimes) I studied in the UK (Stirling U, Scotland and St. Edmunds Hall, Oxford); returning a year later to work in Scotland. Married a local, (and no, he refused to wear a kilt for the wedding!) He was a professional footballer (soccer) and when an Aussie team bought him (Hakoah Eastern Suburbs at Bondi Beach, Sydney) off we went--19 years of age--on our great adventure! In between, I stopped off in Bahrain, Bombay, Hong Kong... In my present life I confine myself to solo vacations around the West to powwows and such. Now, if I could just stop the aging clock I'd be happy!
: : : Helena, Michael Greyeyes is, indeed, a fine man. If you haven't already found his website, I've given the URL below. So far, I've missed 'Stolen Women' each time it has viewed on CBS who owns it and refuses to produce it on video for rental. My loss. I would even pay someone for a VHS copy. I lived in Sydney for two years back in the 70s and have fond memories of Australia. Take care.
