Interesting week!
Probably the SLOWEST week, here on the Board in a LONG while! I remember a couple of instances where there were two or three consecutive days when "No Messages Posted" was all the Board had to say, but I believe the last occurance was at least 2 years ago, or so. When the TowneCrier shouts and her only replies come from a dog & a Gnome ... well, something's askew! Anybody home!?????
On the other hand, some interesting things came our way during the course of the past seven days ...
First of all, add Donna Deslauriers (3rd timer) and Summer Last-Name-Unknown (daughter of Ayesha - 1st timer) to the Gathering List. Heard pretty definitively from others ... looks like Canada will be well-represented this year!
OK. Who sent it??? We received a CD, from Amazon.com UK, this week. It's by the Corries & is called "The Silver Collection" ... Scottish stuff. Came with no indication of who sent it. Well??? Thanks, to whoever!
Our thanks, too, to John Harkins, longhunter & Gatherer, who sent a compilation video of the past 2 Gatherings this week. A treat! Brought back some good old memories!
Speaking of video ... we now have the capability to add TV quality video to our Web Site, thanks to The Rose!!, and plan to do just that. Clips of the locations & The Gatherings are planned first. Should be fun ... and adds immensely to the possibilities of an "On The Trail ..." CD-ROM!
And speaking of The Rose ... such seques this week! ... borne of MohicanLanders (count 'em, now 4!) & others, this is a great publishing opportunity for anyone out there in need of a publisher. Contact: ladyrose@lady-unicorn.com for info!
And, we heard from Bill Bozic, French Artillery Officer, who has a word or two up somewhere on this Site ... finally bought his copy of "On The Trail of the Last of the Mohicans." Hoping to hear more from him soon!
The week of April 16 ... ahhhh ... vacation for me! Among the many things I have planned is a trip to Biltmore to meet with the Special Projects folks. They'll be running the program by me. Will report back then! Another thing I'll be doing is laying out the "Companion Guide" to "On The Trail ...". Folks, if there's anything else you want to say, that could be included in this book ... now projected at 300 pages! ... speak now. Anything related to "The Last of the Mohicans," MohicanLand, the impact of it all, etc., etc. Send it on via e-mail. Then, there's a project for Ariel's Cabin, taking the little ones to the zoo & other places, mowing the pasture ... Hey, WAIT A MINUTE!!! Might have to re-schedule this vacation thing & make it a MONTH!
