I got this lovely prose this morning, from a friend named Daniel C. Kline.
I liked it so much that I would like to share it with all of you.
>Somewhere >betwixt hither and fro, he chanced upon a threshold
through which he'd >recently passed.
He, upon knocking, was warmly welcomed, only to discover >that it was from whence that he had last departed and had really gone >nowhere at all. Upon realizing his error, he decided that it was time >to take leave of whence at once, but became distraught when he realized that >he had no recollection whatsoever of how to whence he had come, and thus had no >clue as to how from whence to go.
His hosts, being good hosts as they were, >reassured their guest that it mattered not from whence nor to where, because no >matter which path or when, the hearth of his friends is here!
