Osiyo. (Hello)
Don't want to ruffle any feathers to badly here, thats not my intention. Mr. Thompson mentioned to Don and MK that they needed to pick up some new books and read as if they were living in some other world, in regards to the Native Americans. Fact is, they had their facts and information all in the right place from the very beginning. So, my hidden meaning was that "Mr. Thompson" is in need of picking up these books I mentioned.

There really is no such thing as our NA's expecting anyone to "kiss ass". When this is branded on them, there is a dire need for correction.
We have a people that are only striving to be understood and respected as a race today, as they ALWAYS have. Sadly, they are still very misunderstood.

And it isn't difficult to realize and remember just WHO decided to take away their way of life, push them onto reservations, and FORCE them to be dependent on them?? It wasn't THEIR choice. We all know that.

Wah-doh friend, for your understanding. (thank you)
I speak for all my brothers and sisters. I come from the Cherokee Nation.

: Mr. Crazy Horse,

: I don't think you read the messages carefully before you responded. You are criticizing "Don" and "MK" for their views, and suggesting that they pick up your list of reading material, but if you'll read any of Don's or MK's messages, you'll find that they criticize Custer, and that Don has read things written by Russell Means. Look at Dwayne P. Thompson's two entries dated 2/10/2000, under the title "Bighorn battle should...". You will see that he defends Custer's actions, talks about the "third wave of Indians" that "we have come to know and kiss ass to", then says that he is "Native American". This doesn't make sense.

: By the way, I like your e-name. Are you American Indian? I have read Bury My Heart, and it was an amazing revelation. I wish someone would make a 12-hour mini-series based on it.

: bye
