At least one of Custer's troopers ( a non-com) was reported to have lost control of his horse, which ran into the Indian village. I believe I remember that it also happened to one of Reno's men.
I know some heads were found in the village. Were any bodies found there? They were concerned that some men had been taken alive and tortured- did they find any remains in or near the village?
Also Trooper Nathan Short was reportedly found along the Rosebud several months after the Battle, but I haven't seen any primary accounts of it.
Then there are the one or more of the remains found outside the battlefield area, of army troopers from that era,( possibly of men trying to escape, but killed after a long chase.)
The army couldn't seem to figure out how many men were actually lost with Custer, so a study of ALL possible remains seems to be in order, if someone just knew about them all...
