From all I have seen and heard, "24: Live Another Day" looks like a winner! 2 hour premiere on this Monday night, May 5.
If you've never seen "24," you are in for a treat. "24" = 24 hours in a day. Each episode represents one hour - in real time. Used to be, there were 24 episodes, thus each season was really one full, jam-packed, day. Again, in real time. Stories are complex and have jarring, unexpected plot changes, so - another innovation - they use split screens at various points [3 or 4 scenes at once] to let you get your bearings as to what is going on all at the same time. Very creative, exciting show. But, this go-round, there are but 12 episodes - still in real-time, over a 24 hour period, they are just going to skip over some hours.
