: : : : : : Aye, there was some single malt being quaffed on the night which I stayed at Pvt. Glen's Soldier's Retreat, but it was in the middle of the night, while I was sober, a few hours before sunup when the "bump" occurred.  As I said, General Thompson did not have a happy life the last 5 years here on earth.  He was captured by the British, paroled back to Carlisle, waited for an exchange which never happened, and was censured by Congress, dying 6 months before the end of the Revolution, never getting back into the battle fray.  He died an unhappy man and this was evident with the "bump" which I experienced; especially since Pvt. Glen is of English blood and his friends are supporters of the British Crown!  General Thompson literally sees "red" when we visit with Pvt. Glen!  Pax Aye!
