I was going to say something on the order of lets not forget the more recent struggles either, what with Memorial Day coming up.
D-Day. Spielberg did it well with Saving Private Ryan.

But you know what? It can all be said much simply. WHEREVER men have died standing up for what they believed in or in sacrifice for their fellow man, no matter whether it was one lone man or thousands....that ground is hallowed ground and SHOULD speak to us. If we ever get to the point as a race when it does NOT, then bury us all for we are without souls anymore.
