: i was just wondering if there was a Alamo flag and what it looked like???

The "Alamo flag" was a green, white and red tri-color. The green was on the left, the white in the middle, and red on the right. On the field of white was the inscription "1824" referring to the date of the Mexican constitution. The tri-color of Mexico was maintained, as the Alamo defenders never heard that Texas had seceded 4 days earlier, although the "1824" replaced the Mexican coat of arms to remind them of their constitutional rights. The flag flew defiantly over the Alamo for 13 days.
