: : There is an uncut version out there. When LOTM first came out I saw the pre-movie movie. It was loong and it had all the scenes you guys have mentioned. When I saw the current version, I couldn't believe how much was cut. The original is really beautiful and flows much more smoothly than the final version. I tried to get the uncut version from Blockbuster. They have it listed, but with a notation that says that the producer won't release it. So I guess we need to keep pursuing the matter.

: Ros, you can be as mouthy as you want, especially when you have interesting tidbits like this one to share. Were you watching a sneak preview, or being used as part of a test audience? I'm intrigued by the possibility that this uncut version already exists. We must know MORE!

I don't really know. Often the New York City area gets films a week or so before the rest of the country. That's what happened with LOTM. I saw it the first day it came out here and then saw it again about a month later. The later movie was the cut version. The first one was over three hours long and I remember that the critics complained about that. But I was really surprised about what was cut.
