: : I don't really know. Often the New York City area gets films a week or so before the rest of the country. That's what happened with LOTM. I saw it the first day it came out here and then saw it again about a month later. The later movie was the cut version. The first one was over three hours long and I remember that the critics complained about that. But I was really surprised about what was cut.

: Hello Im relatively new to the board but I am also interested in this subject and I think since no one has responded in 2 months or maybe you are corresponding off the board I want in.  Someone should rganize one HUGE collective event, and yes I know enough obsessive people out there that would buy it (like me).  Has anyone viewed the laserdisc version?
