Hi, Lynn...a remake for the year 2000, huh? Hmmm...let's see...that's only 2 years away, isn't it? Well, then it's ALL easy for me! Here's my list:

Hawkeye: Daniel Day-Lewis
Cora: Madeleine Stowe
Alice: Jodhi May
Uncas: Eric Schweig
Chingachgook: Russell Means
Duncan: Steven Waddington
Munro: Maurice Roeves

...if you get my drift!?! The way I see it, in two years, they'll all still be looking just fine! So...I ain't fer touching it! Unless they just want to reshoot the parts where we can see busses and baseball caps, of course.

Actually, there are films that just shouldn't BE remade, IMHO. Like Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, or this version of The Last of the Mohicans. They are works of art & should be left alone. Would anyone think of repainting the Mona Lisa using Kate Moss? Or even Kate Winslet? And don't even get me started on colorization! Grrrr.

That's the best I can do, Lynn. I can't even imagine anyone else in these roles, try as I might.
