Ironically - I like the part where, near the very end after he's killed Uncas when he softens, and he tries to get her away from the edge of the cliff. You see his throat move as if he has suddenly realised how brutal he has become and becomes almost gentle towards Alice. I like him in that scene. But then, he wouldnt be Wes/Magua or Geronimo etc., if he was a big softie!

: : I hear so much ( and I hardly blame y'all) about Uncas/Eric - but what about the rather excellent and sexy Magua/Wes??

: Yes, Magua is rather "captivating" at that! His rugged good-looks, distinctive voice, and great acting made the Magua character so unforgettable. I could really almost sympathize with him! He really needs a good woman to untwist his heart! Surely he deserved an Academy award for supporting actor. The Huron village scene, with the interchange of languages, was classic. I love to replay the part where he calls them dogs and turns to drag Alice away. Very dramatic.
