Hi MMMMarcia,

I enjoy that scene as well, because you hear the stirrings of discontent that will soon lead to the revolution. When the English officer says something to the effect "we must join together to beat our enemy, the French."....one colonial says, "your enemy, you mean"....then when Hawkeye utters the line you quoted, they snicker.

That also is the scene where the brevity of the loincloths is revealed best:o)....DDL must have really beefed up for that role, he doesn't appear to have a naturally muscular body -- he makes up for it with his brainpower though. (whew! better cool it or I'll have that video back in the VCR:o)

I visited Russell Means homepage last night & read his discription of the loincloth dispute - among others. He said DDL gave him the feeling he really was a father figure -- now that is living a role, isn't it....ann
