: : Hello to Everyone,

: : Collin and I made it home safe and sound. We were delayed on our flight home. We spent 5 hours at the Charlotte airport waiting for our plane. It seems that there were weather problems all over the East. It will take us a few days to catch up on our sleep! I must say, we are definately having "MOHICAN WITHDRAWALS"! Anyone else????

: : We had a beautiful time. I wish we could have spent more time
: : communicating with everyone, but time didn't allow it and we had to much to do in such a short amount of time. Thank you so much, RICH and ElAINE, for putting this together for us! You have created a beautiful family of new friends from all over the world! Isn't it amazing when you think about it? We all met over the internet. Also, our thanks go to all of the other people who helped make this gathering such a warm and harmonious experience! My great thanks to MARK ZENTNER for helping Summer down the slippery rocks in the pouring rain. That was so sweet! Also, many thanks to VINCENT for helping Summer up and down the trails during the most intense hiking moments!

: : A special thanks to CLAIRBERT for blazing a new trail so that we wouldn't get stung by hornets! What a saviour! We loved learning about the different herbs on the trail and how they were used by the indigenous peoples. All of his knowledge, which he gave so freely, really added a greater depth to our experience!

: : We loved our day at the Biltmore. It was refreshing to have a mellow day in the middle of the hiking. What an exquisite place! We sat down on the veranda and looked for miles and miles into the great beauty of North Carolina. The view reminded me of the clarity and beauty of the distant views of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

: : It was nice to meet and connect with DANA S. Thanks, Dana for introducing yourself to me. I am so glad I was able to introduce you to Walela. Thank you for sharing your "Walela" experience with me on Sunday evening. ROZ, I hope you made it home o.k. and that all is well with the car situation. It was lovely to meet you.

: : To all of the people whose names I did not mention, thank you all for being there and making this wonderful event even more beautiful!!

: : CAITLIN, in case you read this post, I wanted to give you a hug goodbye, but by the time we were ready to leave, you were no where in site. Summer sends a greeting to SARA and MARK, as she did not get a chance to say goodbye.

: : ELAINE, thank you for bringing your new little sweetheart to the gathering! It was precious to experience a new 3 day old baby. You are a great match for any of the strong women of the frontier!!!!

: : Blessings everyone,

: : Ayesha

: Ayesha,
: You could not have expressed our feelings any better than you did. What a GREAT weekend we had with our fellow LOTM followers! The Sweetsers arrived in San Francisco at midnight. We had our share of the delay at the Charlotte airport as well. I'd like to add our thanks as well to Rich and Elaine for all their hard work. And can I volunteer to do the raffle again Marsha?

Ayesha,
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you! I only regret that I wasn't able to spend more time talking with you, Collin, and Summer. I can't wait to get started on that nutrition program! I feel another "Walela" experience coming on. On the way home, Jayne, Karen and I visited Cherokee. The "Unbearable Love" album means much more to me after this visit with it's heavy mix of Tennesee mountain and gospel sounds. I am still sorting all thoughts and emotions... If anyone ever has the opportunity to visit Cherokee, I highly recommend it.

I feel soooo fortunate to have made two new friends in Karen and Jayne, who were my traveling buddies when we started our adventcha, but are now like sisters to me. What a fantastic bonus! Oh, the interesting discussions we shared after our visit to Cherokee...very thought provoking (even sisters don't see eye to eye on everything, right?). I have a big part of my Gathering experience in these wonderful women right here with me in Indiana to help ease my withdrawal a bit.

Dana S.
