Hey Chris,

Okay color me dumb here. I thought the gizzard WAS the kidneys of the bird. No? I was talking about the same thing, but maybe thinking of it wrong.........

That kidney/intestine from whales concoction sounds purely Way Up North Native American. I love to experiment, but there are SOME things I won't try.

Worst thing I ever tried was camel. The Saudis had it in some kind of stew when they invited me for dinner. Luckily, they also had about four other main dishes served: a lamb stew, a chicken, a rice gumbo sorta thing, and a beef dish. All very good. The camel was dry as dust even in a stew and kinda stringy/rubbery. No thank you.
