Hi,

I read somewhere that the jerky movements may be the result of computer interpolation of frames that may have been in need of restoration. Perhaps the stuff that was not previously in the film was not taken care of to the degree the theatrical film version was.

Also, I know that the DVD was edited on *video* rather than by splicing film, which may also explain some things about the quality.
