And I heard that DDL did the same thing in The Age of Innocence--that he even registered in his hotel as "Newland Archer", and walked around with a hat, a cane, and all of the mannerisms of his character. I don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me!

Oh, by the way, I love this site. Mostly I lurk and look, and I posted once or twice over the summer. You're all an interesting lot of folks--"a breed apart that makes no sense"--and you'd all take that as a compliment! Only in Mohicanland!
