Posted - March 25 2008 : 09:25:51 AM I was browsing the On Demand movies available the other night and didn't see anything I particularly wanted to watch. So I decided to take a chance on one call The Messenger, a story about Joan of Arc. It has been around a while, but I have already seen a bunch of movies about her, and I sort of know the story, but I decided, what the heck. WOW!!! That was quite a movie. The director figured, correctly, that we already knew the story, so he concentrated on the acting and the action. You like 15th century battles? Well this one has them. It's well worth watching. Ever heard of Tcheky Karyo? He played the Frenchman in The Patriot. It says this movie was released in 1999 so that precedes The Patriot. You can't miss him. Same delivery and phrasing of words.
