I just was websearching, and i read somewhere where it said that in the LOTM novel Heyward was in love with...ALICE, not Cora! WOW! It also said that he asked permission from Alice's Dad to marry her and he said yes, and they married...is that true? I hope so, Heyward just needed someone to love ya know???  |

And it's Uncas and Cora who die at the cliffs...In the book Uncas is the love interest.. not Hawkeye. And Chingachgook is Hawkeye's Brother .... not Father.. |

The book and the movie have a lot of differences. The scene where they go over the falls in the canoe is not in the book Last of the Mohicans, but in one of the other books. |

I think they change stuff around when they make a movie so the folks who read the book will be surprized.
