It isn't all that often - well, I guess all of you "regulars" are proof that it does occur ; but it is fairly rare in the grand picture, if one considers all the lurkers or folks who make a post or two or none & then vanish - that someone drops in, "out of the blue" [no pun intended!], to make themselves at home here & get involved in the whole Board like you have, Ed! You've added a new color & enriched the texture! Very glad you arrived!

A truly Happy Birthday to You Today!

Plus, it's always good to know that there's a cop on the beat!

Sgt. Munro,

When I first joined the board and began reading your earlier posts... I... well... let's just say... that I told myself to "reserve my judgement." I'm glad that I did! For you have shown yourself to be a man of many interests, a man capable of strong, intelligent -- albeit opinionated (which can be a good thing!) -- thought, and a friend here on the board. I'm glad you're here.

Happy Birthday!

Thank you, thank you all. What can I say...I am truly at a loss for words (yeah, I know "That's a first"). Sachem Rich & Lainey, Captain Seamus, Wilderness Woman; you guys are really great. Ever since I was told about Mohicanland, over a year ago, I have to admit that I didn't think that I would have as much fun as I have had. All the folks here are good people, and I have enjoyed all the sharing, sparing and learning. I look forward to hopefully many more years of the same.

Sachem, there are a alot of folks who spend a whole lifetime trying to build or create something that will grow beyond themselves. You have managed to do it in a fraction of the time. A true measure of success is not how much money you make, or how far up the "corporate ladder" you go, it is only measured in two things. The first is one's family/children, and the second is one's friends; and you have managed to build something that incorporates and celebrates both of those all too important aspects of life. I know, that I am waxing a bit off topic, but I thought you should know how much I appreciate all that you have done, and continue to do.

Now, since I went off duty at around 0700, I think I'll have that birthday drink...

Thank You All,
I Remain,
Your Most Humble Servant,

Congratulations Sgt, on surviving in this damnable Pennsylvania colony yet another year in HMS. You may draw an extra rum ration for yourself on this day in observance(to be added to your monthly stoppages, of course).
