Kibler makes a nice gun. If I were just starting out, that's the way I would go. But I like the French guns and the only way to get a proper one is to build it yourself with parts from the Rifle Shoppe.
Last weekend I was at Hagood Mill, a historic grist mill near Greenville. There was a gun builder there who is really good. Not all that well known except locally, but I was impressed by his work. I have always wanted a Matthew Gillespie rifle. He was a builder in the 18th-19th centuries and also lived not too far from here. But at my age it makes no sense to buy another one.

Glad you liked the vid Fitz. - He & the wife put out some good videos. - This guy & his wife "live" a 18th century life style "most of the time" - but they actually live in a rustic fairly large modern house.
