Check out the current issue of Men's Health Magazineand you will see that Daniel Day Lewis's portrayal of Hawkeye is voted "Best Man" in movies ever, beating out some tough competition.

AND THE YEAR'S BIGGEST AWARD: Best Man Daniel Day-Lewis in The Last of the Mohicans
Tough call. A hundred possibilities. Will Kane in High Noon. William Wallace in Braveheart. Indiana Jones. James Bond. But no. Day-Lewis's Hawkeye is the S-Class of Y chromosomes. Name a useful male trait and Hawkeye bleeds it: honor, heart, humor, savagery, loyalty, fraternity, resiliency, cunning, mercy. Name a situation and he owns it, whether it's offering his life to save his beloved or putting a burned-at-the-stake Brit out of his misery with a longrifle ball at 100 yards. There are no halfways with him. He is, in all areas, a man of full commitment. Oh, and there's the small matter of his assertive charm when it comes to Cora (the luscious Madeleine Stowe). He makes his attraction known up front, and pursues. Poor lass never has a chance.

So... tell us something we didn't know!

It's just nice to see that others recognize what we Ladies of Mohicanland have known for about 13 years or so!

Now Ladies:

Thumb through a copy at the news stand and you will see pic of DDL looking resolute while holding his gun with both hands.
