Nope, not the Wes Studi and Jason Patric one but the made for TV movie starring Joseph Runningfox and Michael Greyeyes.
I know it's a rare movie these days having not been put onto DVD but I found an old VHS copy on my early spring clean, I haven't watched it in over 10 years!
I remember loving it when I was much younger but can't remember it at all now! Does anyone else remember it? I'm debating if I should try and find a VCR player (got rid of mine recently because I got a DVD recorder, kicking myself a tad now) so I can watch it.

| Has Michael Greyeyes in it. I love to watch anything with Michael in it. Never heard of it though or seen it. If you manage to watch it, tell us what it was like okay? |

| It's funny you mentioned this Kirachi, I have been trying to find a copy of this particular Geronimo for ages but with no luck. I have to say this movie was one of my favorites. It was put together very well and the actors fit the part perfectly. |

I have found you one (1) copy of the movie in VHS format. It is selling for $19.95 + $4.89 shipping. PM me if you want it.
I have found what could be a second copy as well. |

Ah great stuff Blackfoot, I thought I was the only one that knew this film for a while there. Can you remember if it was any good? The only thing I can remember is a part where he (Runningfox)emerges from under water with his bow ready
I've seen the VHS copies going on eBay for anything between $11 and $44 so I think Hawkeye Joe's offer is pretty good.
I'll probably transfer my VHS onto DVD for easier watchng until they finally release the DVD! |

'where he (Runningfox)emerges from under water with his bow ready'... Kirachi, That part kind of renminded me of Rambo (LOL) a bit. Besides, it'shard to shoot an arrow with wet feathers. And when I saw this in '93 or '94 (?), I remember thinking that being submerged in water, even for a few seconds, it's going to make thos feathers lay right down on the shaft. But, low and behold, they were as perky as when dried out (LOL). I'm sorry to carry on there, it was still a pretty good movie, but I liked the one with Wes Studi better. |

| Mike, Not only that but since the bow strings are made from sinew that would have stretched out like wet noodles. That is where the "myth" that Indians did not fight at night came from, that the dampness of night would make the bow strings unusable. |

Kirachi, How are you doing today? I do hope you have nicer weather than here. (LOL) We had only 2 inches of snow, but added was about 3 inches of ice on top of it all. they listed us as in a snow emergency. Wonder what they would hacve done in the winter of 1779, right Joe? That year in the eastern US was like a mini ice age, so cold the turkeys fell off their roosts frozen soid. |

The Winter of '79...how the Cont. Army survived was a miracle. Camping in New Jersey near Morristown.
quote: All the soldiers' huts, designed to accommodate 12 men each, were ordered built strictly according to a uniform plan: about 14 feet wide and 15 or 16 feet long in floor dimensions, and around 6-1/2 feet high at the eaves with wooden bunks, a fireplace and chimney at one end, and a door in the front side. Apparently, windows were not cut in these huts until spring.
quote: TERRIBLE SEVERITY OF THE WINTER. Weather conditions when the army arrived at Morristown were but a foretaste of what was yet to come, and long before all the huts were up, the elements attacked Washington's camp with terrible severity. As things turned out, 1779—80 proved to be the most bitter and prolonged winter, not only of the Revolutionary War, but of the whole eighteenth century.
One observer recorded 4 snows in November, 7 in December, 6 in January, 4 in February, 6 in March, and 1 in April—28 falls altogether, some of which lasted nearly all day and night. The great storm of January 2—4 was among the most memorable on record, with high winds which no man could endure many minutes without danger to his life. "Several marquees were torn asunder and blown down over the officers' heads in the night," wrote Dr. Thacher, "and some of the soldiers were actually covered while in their tents, and buried like sheep under the snow." When this blizzard finally subsided, the snow lay full 4 feet deep on a level, drifted in places to 6 feet, filling up the roads, covering the tops of fences, and making it practically impossible to travel anywhere with heavy loads.
What made things still worse was the intense, penetrating cold. General Greene noted that for 6 or 8 days early in January "there has been no living abroad." Only on 1 day of that month, as far south as Philadelphia, did the mercury go above the freezing point. All the rivers froze solid, including both the Hudson and the Delaware, so that troops and even large cannon could pass over them. Ice in the Passaic River formed 3 feet thick, and, as late as February 26, the Hudson above New York was "full of fixed ice on the banks, and floating ice in the channel." The Delaware remained wholly impassable to navigation for 3 months. "The oldest people now living in this country," wrote Washington on March 18, "do not remember so hard a Winter as the one we are now emerging from."

Well, I guess there would be a lot of body heat in those tiny rooms if they were so close packed. |
