Ted Kennedy Jr. to run for Connecticut Senate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Ted Kennedy Jr. is planning to run for the state Senate in Connecticut in his first bid for public office, two people briefed on the decision told The Associated Press on Monday
The son of the late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts will announce Tuesday he intends to seek the Democratic nomination for the 12th Senatorial District, two people said on condition of anonymity because Kennedy wants to make the announcement. Kennedy said he would announce his decision that evening at a library in Branford.
Kennedy is 52-year-old health care lawyer who lives in Branford, a coastal town near New Haven, and has been mentioned as a possible political candidate for some time. He said last month he was considering running for the seat.
As a member of one of America's most prominent political families, Kennedy Jr. has been floated over the years as a possible candidate for various political offices, including U.S. Senate seats in Connecticut and Massachusetts, but he has declined to run. He has campaigned on behalf of Democratic politicians from the state, including U.S. Sens. Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, and for President Barack Obama...

Sarge's Assessment - Yet another spawn of this shady & shifty family surfaces to feed at the public trough. As the article proudly reports, Ted Jr. has campaign on behalf of such 'patriots' as Sen. Murphy, Sen. Blumenthal & President Obama. With this sudden desire for public 'service', young Ted Jr. will have to give up his honorable position as a health care lawyer (Read: Palm-Greaser / Go-Between & Shake-Down Artist).
Even though Ted Jr. is currently seeking a state-level position, we all know where this leads to...

| I can't agree more. And I hate to see JFK eulogized over and over on TV when all he ever did well was make speeches (unless you count Monroe and a number of others). They are all the true and faithful descendants of Joe Kennedy. |

I have to add that I am against political 'dynasties' of any stripe, since nothing good ever seems to come of them. Now there are rumblings of Jeb Bush running on the GOP establishment ticket for 2016! We do not need a contest of ideas limited to Marxism versus Marxist-Lite! This is one time when I have to agree with that race-baiting poverty-pimp Jesse Jackson when he said, "stay out da bushes".
However, the Kennedy's are among the biggest abusers of this sense of generational entitlement, and therefore they draw the majority of my scorn

Talk about Marxists Lites - Ex-Senator Brown has moved up here to N.H. from Mass. to run for the Senate after being defeated there last time. - Nothing more than ONE big Rino. Recently said that he had driven his pick-up around the state talking to folks - ok. ... One of the results of this is he says what people want is a health program that works!!- Political speak - for a GOVERNMENT program that works. He's also completely shaky on the Second Amendment & avoids "direct answers" but gives out with something that tries to cover all the bases - without actually taking a position.

Yet again MG, you are grouping in the center of the target. Scott Brown was probably one of the biggest disappointments to be sent to the senate in many years. He was a shining example of what a RINO Republican is... Marxist-Lite!!!
I find it humorous that the former senator from Massachusetts has moved to New Hampshire to re-invent himself
