Well - it might be ok - if somebody else wanted to do it. ... I'd stick with some beer & venison, maybe a turkey ...

A few years ago the group I was with at Fort Frederick cooked a wild turkey over a fire using a tripod. The turkey was hung from the center and rotated while it cooked. The outer meat was sliced off from time to time allowing for an even cooking all the way through. It was very good. I wish they would do that again!
