Probably, giving it some serious thought - a LOT depends on the weather.

The turn-out was small Saturday - two likely reasons, a "late notice" of this event & the temp at the start was about 8* & it never got very toasty. - Two Abanaki were there - one had a skinned beaver that he had trapped back in Rhode Island, where he lives. He was in the process of cooking it - told him I'd certainly like to try some, but couldn't wait that long. ;) - Tomorrow, Sunday is supposed to be quite a bit warmer, mid 30's - which will help folks get out. - Actually I had a great time - mostly sitting & shooting the breeze with the guys,- politics included. - Turns out we're all on the same page. - Some guy was making tea from pine needles - I passed on that too. He said if we "let it sit" for a few weeks it gets "a little stronger" ... probably it does, but I don't live there. ... Who wever organized this should have arrived LONG before anyone else & gotten the fires started - was a tad on the cool inside at first. - All in all - this was a great idea & they should do it more often - just let folks know a tad sooner. - Fitz, I think, with enough warm clothes of course, - you'd have really enjoyed it. - Shot some "snow snakes, - new to me. Make a rut in the snow, flatten the stucks on one side, they're about 4-5 ft. at see how far you can slide one" ... beats sitting in front of a computer. ... ;)

Looks great! I would love to have been there. All we get here is rain. I have never been to an event in the snow. I have read about snow snakes but there is never enough snow to try it. Maybe one day.

A man I know from another message board said he was at the Fort last weekend. Older guy with a white beard. I haven't seen him in nearly 10 years! Nice guy.

Medium height, dressed like a reenactor??? - No uniform - simply correct "period clothes"??? - If so I did see him, but don't know him. I was there on Saturday - the event ran Saturday & Sunday. - In fact the one that I saw Saturday - I've seen 2-3 times at different events, just never actually met.

Great pics ... those "long sticks" that the girl is shooting are "snow snakes". Generally 4 ft. to about 6 ft. long. ... On the bottom row of 5 pics, the guy in the middle/center, (next to the candle) is the Abenaki from Rhode Island. - The one who had trapped a beaver back in Rhode Island & was cooking it there. On the bottom set of 5 pics, - I was sitting just off to the left. ... They definitely need to have more "winter events" - but give more notice. Good pics - I KNOW you'd have enjoyed it Fitz - even with the small turn-out.
