After a decade or more, I've risen from the dead. Almost quite literally. Back in the end of June 2020 my local hospital told me there was nothing more they could do for me, to go home and die, they'd make me comfortable, and I had two weeks or so. Congestive Heart Failure. Betty and I cried, then got stubborn (imagine, ME stubborn????). Said screw this, we're going down to UW hospital. After ten days they fixed me up such that I am now feeling better than I have since 2018 or before. That close call has made me appreciate a LOT of things and mellowed me quite a bit. Now I just want to enjoy every day I have left with Betty and hope it's another ten years. Big News. Betty and I may be moving to North Carolina. Sick of Wisconsin winters and both of us being fully retired our incomes are portable. Looking at maybe Pinehurst NC. Target date next year (after one last stinking winter. So, like it or not, you have Bill Rooks back from the dead. hey, at least I don't have COVID!!! And I go naked, girls. No face diaper for ME thank you very much. Does anybody realize how stupid they look in those things, and how useless they are against viruses? Anyway, I've survived death so I guess I can survive Biden!
