: Fort at Raestown

:   Spring has come to the Western Regions of Penns Woods. The Robins are hopping about and a few wild flowers are pokeing up their heads. I wish i were at home with you and the wee ones, but adventure and duty keep me here.

:   Cousin Malcolm has made the official announcement of the Regiment's move to Fort Frederick in three weeks. We will be there three days after the New Moon. I know that i should come home instead, but there seems to be another threat of French insurgence in that area.

:   The threat of Red Bud has ended. He is no more, and we are all safe from his savagery. His undoing was quite a bizarre sight.

:   If there is a way for you to meet up with us at Fort Frederick, i would be very pleased. I ask this because there is talk of a small group venturing south to the Carolinas from there, and i should like to go along. You could leave the wee ones with Father and Mother, as you did last year. I think that did them all some good. David Christian is at the age he can learn a lot from Father in the field and around the stock. Rachel Anne can certainly be of help to Mother in the kitchen, and with taking care of Jennifer Kaye.

:   If you can not manage the trip to Frederick, i will not continue to the Carolinas, but return home to you. Either way, i shall see you before the next full moon.
