: Danalee,
: Your point is noted. I don't believe that Seamus, Davey and myself, the good Dr. Uncle, Flags, Tales, Uncle Quasi (oh, you know...all those fine people!!!) think of themselves as wanna be writers....we just enjoy making up some exploits, like a lot of the other characters in Mohicanland, and tying them in to actual 18th century history. This tie to actual history is VERY important to us, for as I stated before, we want to educate and entertain. I suppose we do go on and on and on....sometimes.

: Probably our own website would be good, but I believe we add to Mohicanland and if this site is dedicated to LOTM and colonial history, then we think we belong right here, right where the MacWilliam Chronicles came to life.

: I will tell you this. Seamus, Davey and myself (and all the rest) put info into our "fiction" so that people can ask and learn from it. We have rarely had anyone question the facts we put in, or question any parts of our "fiction". We welcome questions, comments, etc. concerning what we write, so that everyone can learn more about these most fascinating parts of our history. And actually, I think of ourselves as more than reenactors, for we live the 18th century life, hunt, dress, etc. at every opportunity we get, not just for scheduled reenactments. It is a lifestyle which we believe is typified by our "fiction" and parallels LOTM lifestyles. I suppose that's why we believe this is the best place for it, instead of our own website. I am sorry you have to wade through our stuff sometimes.

: Pax Aye!

: Corporal....ahhhh....oh...MacWilliam

Dear Corporal,

While I don't often have the time to follow your chronicles, I must say that I know for a fact they are widely read & enjoyed by MANY in Mohicanland. I cannot imagine why anyone would consider this Board to be an inappropriate spot for such timely & related topics as they describe.

As for "wannabe writers" trying to publish their fiction here, I find that remark to be not only puzzling but downright unpleasant, to say the least. This Board has always been a place for many kinds of questions, debates, scenarios, and fun. I don't understand why anyone would want to criticize ANY of the posts or posters that have brought pleasure to so many, whether they are the Chronicles, or the Adventures of She Who Tracks, or discussions of DDL's thumbs, or Soldier #2's academy award winning Death Scenes. This place is a Mixed Bag, isn't it? That very variety is what makes it so interesting to check out (even if it has been a bit slow of late).

If there are topics and threads that don't appeal to a reader, it is a VERY simple matter to skip those items. You have always done a fine job in choosing subject lines that let people know immediately that your post is a continuation of the Saga. I think that ought to be enough to alert anyone who doesn't wish to spend time reading further. No one should feel themselves forced to "wade through" your writings.

I hope you will continue to post your tales here on the Board, as they have added a wonderful dimension to our "community."

MMMM
