Yep! Heard from both Seamus & Leylana1492 this morning ... Suprisingly, or maybe not so, I did not receive one. Here is what was sent:

You all know this is a scam, right???  DO NOT RESPOND [unless it is to give him a can of whoop-ass!!!  ] Anyway, I blocked the IP & deleted "Charles" as a member. There is a coding mod out there I can implement to deter this type of thing. We never had the problem, so I did not code it. The times they are a-changin'! Maybe this weekend, if time permits.

You know, it would seem impossible for anyone to actually fall for these things, but they do. Working at the post office, I can't tell you how many times I've come across counterfeit money orders being innocently passed off by folks duped by scams such as this. They find a sucker on the Internet, and ask them to cash some bogus money orders for them, and send the proceeds back. Spam is definitely a dangerous thing. |

I have problems with an e-mail account. Heres a suggestion, If the sender is using yahoo.com, then just forward it to mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com.
This way you can at least shift the responsibility to them.

Hey everyone, make sure you keep an eye out to for the "Independant Business Men, who own their own welding/construction companies, and travel around the world working on bridges! A friend of mine has a lot of fun irritating these idiots while I sit back and laugh and occasionally give a pointer on "Talking Smack" (yes, I am VERY good at it!)

Trusty old hotmail had put the email from 'Charles' in the junk mail. Can't understand why he picked on me seeing as I'm just new to the Board. Guess these 'spammers' must be desperate lol! |

I received the same slimy email today too. Man oh man, I've seen at least 100 of these over the years, whether it has been email, fax, or even 1st class mail, but always from some African country...I hate these things!  |

I get so many of these, but this was the first from here or anyother site at which I'm registered. Most of the time I wonder how they got my email address. They do clutter up my inbox, but there are twice or 3 times as many in my junk email box so I guess the filters are working somewhat. |

I didn't receive one of these emails, but my son Michael did. I may have gotten one, but it probably went to my bulk mail and I just delete my bulk mail without even looking at it. I hope that everyone here does realize that it is definitely a SCAM!!!!! These people have nothing better to do with their lives except to send out these stupid scam emails!!!

I don't see how you can pass up an opportunity like that Rich, a once in a life time deal. ... On the spam issue, I post on another site, and for thew past several months it's been almost ruined by spammers, - daily unrelenting attacks. The owner says his software is blocking about 95%, and he still has to change servers and coding very shortly, or shut it down. Good luck with those morons, .... |
