Hey Hubby and I watched Pathfinder for the first time last night and we liked it. Although it is far from historical accuracy it was still a very interesing movie to watch.
Has anyone else seen it?

Hubby and I watched it not long ago. It wasn't a bad movie, liked all the action and fight scenes. But I especially like Karl Urban. Boy is he a hottie! The hubby justed rolled his eyes! |

Little plot, less acting, lousy cinematography ... how's that?
Let's face it, that plot had more holes than a cullendar! Vikings not knowing about snowy/winter condtions? HelLO! ...and where did those mountains come from? (Rockies on the east coast???) Karl Urban did his usual "worried frown" look and not much else -- and who knows about those "vikings?" You could never tell whether they were acting or not since they kept those idiotic helmets on all the time.... The lighting of the film was just way too dark and dreary to suit me. |

That works very well for me. Thanks. I won't bother with this one, as I think I would agree with you on all points. |

I still liked it. I don't think they were going for accuracy. More or less a story. For the story I thought it was rather good.
Sorry you didn't like it, Obi. And Karl Urban did look pretty good, Blackie!

Yeah, it is but that hairstyle did him no justice. Looked like a giant skunk riding around on his head!

Maybe it's the pics Light posted, or maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think Jay Tavare looks like a NA Hugh Jackman?
Oh, and if anyone wants to see a real stinkeroo in the same sort of genre as Pathfinder, check out the 2005 version of Beowulf and Grendel starring Gerard Butler. This movie was so bad I had to make myself finish watching it. (And that's saying something when it stars Gerard Butler! )
Even so, I still have Pathfinder on my Netflix queue. |

Racist ? Karl Urban looked good, so did the NA men. How is that racist? Whatever ....I'm not a racist and it would be hard for me to even pretend to be one.
And Irish I think you should see it for yourself and decide. But I do believe you will like it. |

Well I shall check out the video store this weekend but I don't recall seeing it there before. Maybe it would be On Demand which is much handier for viewing. Bogged down with snow here. Kids even had a late start this morning. They were hoping for a cancellation but I wasn't. Too early for all this snow. |
