There is an uncut version out there. When LOTM first came out I saw the pre-movie movie. It was loong and it had all the scenes you guys have mentioned. When I saw the current version, I couldn't believe how much was cut. The original is really beautiful and flows much more smoothly than the final version. I tried to get the uncut version from Blockbuster. They have it listed, but with a notation that says that the producer won't release it. So I guess we need to keep pursuing the matter.
