: OK Gnome dome,

: *39* gnomes 'go to furiously kicking...' ! You know darned well that guy of yours, the one that perpetually has his hands in his pockets, doesn't do A STROKE of work!! He leaves it all up to you other poor suckers! Hey! Perhaps it might be an idea to just let the 'human' have him?! After all, it is a case of 'survival of the fittest', considering your small numbers! Give it some thought...

: An Onlooker.

Well Onlooker, I would give that some thought except it is in the gnome genes to look out for each other. Then also, we are afraid that if Doc or one of these other philistines ever does put a gnome in the pot they might acquire a craving for gnome - sorta like a tiger who has dined once on human. Get the picture? Then we would become an endangered species because humans cannot seem to content themselves with only what they need. They are an avaricious, greedy, glutonous lot, a true breed apart and none in the gnome world can understand them. They are true despoilers of nature...though some humans do understand the gnomes very well.

It is against our nature to endulge in "survival of the fittest" as we gnomes believe all living things have a place in nature...except the Trolls that is. There's a thought! Why doesnt Doc Mary go find a Troll to eat? And the others clammoring about a gnome meal do likewise?
